Cost for a finished steer will be $1.15/pound, based on live weight of the steer. Price includes delivery to the locker plant, but not processing costs. Processing costs generally run between $225 and $275. An average steer will weigh 1,250 pounds and yield approximately 650 pounds of meat. So it will be slightly cheaper to buy a whole beef than to buy the same amount of beef in a butcher shop or grocery store. We think you will find the taste and quality of our beef to be wonderful.

Some of our customers will find a couple of friends to split a beef with because they can't eat up to 600lb of beef by themselves. It works out really well since they can each give a separate cutting order to the locker plant.

Payment is expected prior to the steer being delivered to the locker plant. Payment plans can be set up on a monthly basis if desired.

Steers will be delivered to a local locker plant for the customer. Generally that will be:
