Steers are kept in the feedlot for 6 to 8 months and fed a well-rounded ration of non-GMO corn, alfalfa, oats, soybean concentrate, and vitamins and minerals.  Medicines and hormones are used when necessary to keep the cattle healthy and growing.  Additionally crossbred steers are purchased from time to time and fed out.

Steers are finished when they have reached the weight and desired amount of marbling in the meat as requested by the customer.  This feeding program and the genetics of our herd are designed to produce excellent quality beef with wonderful flavor.
